Standing barefoot on grass will allow the earth's energy to flow upward into your body. This energy is called Qi (Chi). A friend of mine swears this will cure balance problems and jet lag. Just go outside and find some grass, take your shoes off and stand on the grass for 15 minutes or more to let the Chi move upward through your body and realign your chi.

Any acupuncturist will tell you that if your Chi is misaligned, your health will suffer. I have visited an acupuncturist for a month now and my Chi is probably aligned now, but I think I will go out and stand on grass to see if my Chi will get even more aligned.
Of course, right after she told me this, I have to think, "How can you market that?". Well, we went to work designing a Chi/grass container that you can grow in your house and go stand on once in a while. I actually think that grass growing in the ground will work much better, but there are those that live in apartments and skyscraper apartments that never let their bare feet touch living grass. Well, we have the solution!
We'll need a tray that's big enough for your feet and deep enough to hold some good fresh dirt to grow the grass in. We will have special grass seed for planting in the tray and special dirt fortified with natural stuff to grow the grass in. Then you put your tray of dirt in a sunny spot, sprinkle the seeds and grow the grass. Water it a few times a week until the grass is thick and healthy. You will not have to add fertilizer or chemicals. As long as it is in a sunny area, the grass will grow thick and strong.
Remove your shoes and stand in your own plot of grass. This will align your chi for better health. It could work. I'm going to try it.

Yes, but doesn't the energy flow up from the earth, not merely from the grass itself? As it does from the sun, too. I often feel ill and bewildered inside buildings like supermarkets (the price of everything adds to the malaise!); conversely, always feel better in the fresh air, on or off grass? Bob

Lela (Austinstar) - My first thought after admiring your pictures was that it would likely be a lot easier to remove those green grass stains from the feet than it would be to do so from the fannies.

I'm with DRBJ - I was getting ready to really get busy with a hub-sized comment on how we're losing the drug war and need to dismantle most of the DEA. O well. And what picture is everyone talking about? I didn't see anything butt people standing on a patch of grass. I was looking at the gr(ass). I will take another look just in case I missed something.
You can align your chi by standing close to your Chia Pet too, btw.
Couldnt you get the same effect from eating a load of burgers, after all they are usually made from cattle who stand on grass all day long. Incidentally, if the chi of cattle is so good, how come they end up as burgers, and a distinctly un chi person like me eats them? Perhaps this chi is not all it's cracked up to be.
I to got a little sucked in by the possible benefits of smoking the green green grass of home:0) However after reading about the Chi remedy while standing atop the grass that goats eat.

"Chi" is just another name for the life force that surrounds the universe. It is a concept that is more accepted in the east than in the west. But standing or walking bare foot on grass feels good whether in the east or west ;) and I don't mind picking up those butts littering the grass:)
Yeap, I practice this. I heard somewhere that standing on the grass can remove static charges from the body, better you have to stand on grass that grows on land, and not pot. I read a (spiritual) hub here which the writer mention that by standing on the ground with grass ground, the mother earth will wash away our bad energy.

I enjoyed this Hub. You know, I think there is something to this. I am going to stand barefoot in the grass for fifteen minutes tomorrow (it's raining today) and see what happens. I probably haven't had my bare feet in the grass in 20 years. Thank you for this fine Hub.

One would think smoking grass while standing on grass would double the chi absorbed, but this is a myth. Who can stand up for more than two seconds after the first toke? Better make the chi tray big enough to sit in - with another tray to hold munchies.

but, sure you have a strong message conveyed about Chi. Yes, mother nature has immense power to heal thyself but, we gotta get our butt out and stand bare foot on it.
Walking bare foot on grass in the morning also helps restore a weak eye sight.
