Understand the sports car guy...

Number one thing about men is the key to their personality is directly related to their cars.  Their cars are a big extension of their egos and by studying the types of cars a man likes to own and drive, you can understand the man!

The sports car guy is a great cheerleader and an excellent sales person! They love bright and shiny things! They love beautiful and flashy women! These men don't like women who are fat, mousy, and/or ugly in any way.

They are easily bored and need constant excitement in their lives. They always leap first and look later. Things that go fast catch their eyes! Big parties are their thing. Nice clothes and fancy accessories are mandatory.

They always pick up the check at any business luncheon because money is no object to get in the way of impressing someone! This man values respect and expects everybody's head to turn in his direction at all times.

The sports car guy gets angry easily and blows up! No one will ignore him if he is angry. They get hysterical quite often. Eventually they will calm down and apologize in a big dramatic way.

This guy needs people around to be happy. His good qualities include: being persuasive, being a risk-taker, having a very competitive nature, having way too much confidence, being very socially skilled, inspiring, and outgoing.

Some people see this man as overbearing, dominating, pushy, restless, manipulative, and inpatient. The sports car guy's philosophy is, "I am somebody special!"

The degree in which this guy will have these traits is directly related to how clean and neat his car is (because they can't all afford to drive corvettes), how obsessed he is over his car and how much time and money he invests in the car.  He will treat you pretty much the same way he treats his car if you hook up with this guy!

If the sports car guy trades in and up constantly - Watch out! You will be replaced just as fast.

The Luxury car man!

Understand the luxury car man...

Great leaders, CEO's, supervisor types generally drive luxury cars. They are the ones that get things done or see that they get done. They are usually successful and value productivity. They like women who pamper themselves and their men and are also successful in a high end market.

If luxury car guy competes in sports or contests, he wants to win gold medal BIG.  He thinks he deserves only the best things in life. Wine, women, and song is his motto. He wishes people would just get out of his way or bow down before him.

When luxury car guy gets mad he will most likely take it out on some lowly inanimate object or some underling standing too close. He has a very acute sense of exactly which button to push to do the most harm. He will need to be alone for a while to get over whatever slight he thinks was done to him.

Luxury car guy thinks most people are stupid and inept.  They do have some good qualities though. They are: practicality, organization, directness, determination, dependable, good wage earners, goal oriented, and ambitious.

Some people think luxury car owners are very stubborn, rigid, distant, critical, and insensitive.

Luxury car guy's philosophy is, "Be all that you can be and make sure those around you are too!"

If your guy tends to favor luxury cars, showing him any sign of weakness can be the death of you. He will certainly use it against you some day! If his car is damaged in any way, he will trade it in.

Sports Vans, Family Cars, People haulers

Understand the family car man...

One caveat to van drivers (some criminal types like vans for nefarious purposes, so don't go there)

Van drivers are also lumped in with multi-passenger sport utility types, blue collar job types, and cub scout den leader types. You will have to analyze the man based on the kind of van type auto, station wagon, multi-passenger type car he owns and how he treats that vehicle.  Men tend to treat their women the same way as they treat their automobiles. I hope you've learned that so far! Also make sure that you are basing your assesment of the car he drives because that is what he WANTS to drive, not what he HAS to drive.

Multi-passenger car guys are the care givers of the world. They like to listen to other people's troubles, and you want them to please them. They make good therapists.

This guy's anger goes nowhere because he keeps it inside so as to not hurt anyone's feelings. He is sensitive and often depressed. He does not like change.

Multi-passenger car guys love to sit on committees and be around people. He drives a van or station wagon because he has a lot of friends and they always want him to drive them somewhere or help them move.

If you want to borrow a few bucks, always ask a family car driver and you will always get the loan without worrying about having to pay it back.

Their good qualities are: caring, loving, devoted, helpful, trusting, sensitive, loyal, and gregarious.

Their bad qualities are: indecisive, vulnerable, hesitant, and too charitable for their own good. Their philosophy is, "Love me, for I am good and I also see the good in you."

If you want a big family and lots of friends, this is the guy for you. Just be ready to deal with handling all family affairs and bills as they don't usually make hard decisions based on their best interests.

Safety first! Practical, Economical, Trusted Cars!

Understanding the practical car driver

If you are considering a man who drives a "practical", "safe", "popular" car like a Volvo, Honda, (Used to be Toyota), Mazda, or other "normal" type of car, then read up on this guy's personality traits....

Practical car guys are task oriented and make good computer geeks or bank tellers. They are very righteous and expect everyone to be straight along a party line. They expect their friends and lovers to side with them on every issue.

These men are more conservative/passive than the other personality types. They fit in with society and don't want to make waves.

Their anger is generally directed inward. They must always be correct. They must always make the *right* decisions. This man has a logical and linear brain that loves obeying the rules and spouting statistics. Just remember that the truth is not always the same as the way they see things.

Safe type car drivers are organized and cautious. They are very loyal to their friends, yet are very critical towards them too. They want the safest car available and always buckle up.

These guys are penny pinchers and have lots of money in the bank, but they rarely spend it. Their good qualities are: thoroughness, factual, meticulous, calm, high standards.

Some people think they are slow to get things done, withdrawn, sullen, shy, and dull. Their philosophy is, "I am always right, therefore I am and I love the right wing philosophy!"

Practical cars and their drivers are just that practical and boring. If you want a long predictable life, then find this guy and get married!

Variety is the spice of life!

Some people like variety!

When trying to understand a man's personality by using his preferred car choices, take care to notice if he really seems to care for his car.

Some men just don't have much of a personality, so therefore don't care what kind of car they drive. Or they may have a combination type and prefer to drive one kind of car one day and another on special occasions - Use the special occasion car to decide.

Or maybe they are just too wishy-washy to make decisions.

But one thing I have learned in my many years of experience on studying men and their cars, I have found that they definitely treat their cars according to their personality and personality traits! Try observing this phenomenon for a few months and you will see it quite clearly.

If a man treats his car badly, he will treat you badly. If he treats it well, then he will treat you well. So go study those cars and find the man of your dreams. I did!

And what about the guy with a motorcycle? ;) The type of bike he rides and it's condition says a good deal, too! I liked it-cute and accurate!

Motorcycles and Pickup Trucks. I have a problem with them, personality wise.

I've been watching Sons of Anarchy and getting pretty attached to the bikers and their tattoos, but I think it all boils down to how they care for their vehicles. A man who treats his vehicle like it is a trusted family member and companion will also treat his loved ones well.

If they don't care about their vehicles, they won't care about You! That's a fact.

Well, I never really thought about someone not having a car. It's just so common. Well, maybe a model car? Or a girl can go by the car of your dreams. Or maybe she can go by how you treat your most prized possessions!

And you look like a man to me, so maybe you should write a hub about Understanding men who don't have a car!

Nice article! It was pretty funny and accurate. What about how people drive? I think that can reflect who they are almost as much as what they drive

You may have a point there, masona1. Might have to do a hub about that.

Understanding man who doesn't have a car.....oh jeez! I'm laughing through the comments. Omg. - I have been telling my husband for years that I must have married him for his truck because it is all that he owned at that time:-). 1988 GMC!

You know, I'm not even sure which category the truck guys fit into! As long as it's clean and well maintained. That's what I always looked for.

Yep! His first job was detailing cars:-) love it! He even rolls the windows down to clean that yucky edge - scrubs the tires with a brush. I noticed that stuff too. He also ironed his shirts once a week. He really helps me a lot with keeping things up around here. That is what's up and all that:-).

Interesting article. You had some points. First I'm also from Texas. But I live New York City now. Have been for many many years. I date a lot. And some guys that have crazy money. I feel like the car thing has to be broken down more. The groups were to small. Like a guy with a new Porsche is usually a show off. An Audi R8, money but a bit more understated. Now a 80's 911 Porsche in mint condition. This is a good guy. Into class, not a show off. But really loves what he has. So can't put all sport car guys into the class... I grew up on car dealership. Specializing in foreign sports cars. I can break people to what they drive, year and color. I find color actually tells a lot also. But loved that you a girl, tackled this. Erica Mercedes
